Special Needs
Remedease is committed to helping people with ADHD, OCD and brain injuries to maintain a functional and organized life. Here’s how we help:
Brain Injury:
Many brain injuries result in Executive Function Disorder, compromising the affected person’s ability manage time, maintain focus or organize.
After a brain injury, it can be difficult to accept that tasks you were previously able to accomplish easily are now problematic and frustrating.
Remedease has vast experience working with people who have brain injuries. We can help you cope with the disorganization and disorientation that results and provide creative techniques and systems that will enable you to complete paper work, arrive on time for appointments, and remember your medication.
Your world may be different that it was before, but it can be better and less stressful with our help.
ADHD:
If you have ADHD you may be skipping from one thought to the next or hyper focused and losing track of time. ADHD makes it challenging to keep an organized life but it can be managed with the right systems in place.
We will teach you strategies for overcoming your chaos and reducing the stress and depression that is commonly attributed to living in a structured world with a global imagination.
We can show you how to organize your thoughts and possessions to gain more control over your life.
“If clutter and disorganization was terminal I would be gone long ago. Being ADHD and not computer savvy, my office and work areas were always disheveled. Papers and work stuff were all over the place. Somehow I found a way to function but it created a lot of stress and embarrassment. When I first heard about this service I was skeptical but I was encouraged to give it a try so I did. Just a few sessions later I could see a big improvement. The problem was the way I was thinking. I’d accepted my disorganization as just a way of life. But it doesn’t have to be that way. If I can get organized anyone can. Just approach it with an open mind and follow Fran’s lead. It is well worth your investment.” Mike, NAPCO Ops Mgr.
